Very clear and well thought out. My one criticism is the use of the word util. I think it is meant to be a unit of utilitarian value to calculate whether something is useful and, hence, valuable. If the word is in fact used by utilitarians, okay, use it however odd. If not, why not just say “unit of useful value”; longer, but clearer.
